RIDING AT BURGIE
Equestrianism and Burgie are synonymous with one another. Burgie has hosted the highly popular International Three Day Event held in the middle of June every year since 1993, and has held a Horse Trials since 1977.
The family have all ridden to a high level with Polly Lochore
winning a Team Gold medal at the European Eventing Championships in 1969. Hamish, Alec and Alec's wife Emily, have all completed Badminton and Burghley on several occasions. Alec and Emily run both the Burnham Market International Horse Trials, held in early April and the Houghton International held at the end of May.
Bring your horse to Burgie and gallop along the beautiful beaches at Findhorn (5 miles away) or Roseisle (7 miles). Alternatively take
to the hills, ride through the woods and stop and wonder at the beautiful views to the north from the top of the hill.
There are plenty of stables, outdoor manege, indoor school and over 100 cross country fences.
Ride a Burgie horse. Burgie also has a popular riding school on the farm. This is run by Rudi who would be only too happy to take you for a long and leisurely ride.
