SPORTING OPTIONS
Rough Shooting
At Burgie we can provide a limited amount of rough shooting. There is not a 'managed shoot' at Burgie however with over 600 acres of native woodland and forestry on the estate there are plenty of opportunities to shoot a variety of game, including wild duck, woodcock, snipe and pheasant. These days are great fun and supper always tastes good at the end of a good day out!
Driven Pheasant Shooting
There are several quality shoots within easy access of Burgie at which we can arrange days of sport. POA
Grouse Shooting
Depending on the season it may be possible, with enough notice, to organise driven or walked up grouse at one of the moors nearby. 2009 has been a good year for grouse in the area with birds once again breeding and growing on successfully. POA
River Fishing
Burgie is situated between 2 of the great Scottish salmon rivers - The Findhorn (3 miles) and The Spey (10 miles). With enough notice it may be possible to organise days or evenings fishing on one of these 2 fabulous rivers. POA
Loch Fishing
There are many lochs and Lochans around Burgie and trout fishing can be organised in advanced.
Roe Deer Stalking
There are quite a number of Roe in the 600+ acres of woodland. Stalking in season can be arranged at Burgie usually early in the morning.
