The area around Burgie is synonymous with country sports, some of which can be enjoyed on the estate itself, with others available in close vicinity.
Roe Deer Stalking: there are a number of Roe Deer in the 600 plus acres of woodland at Burgie, and stalking can be arranged, usually in the early morning.
Rough Shooting: A limited amount of rough shooting can be provided at Burgie, where there is not in fact a ‘managed shoot’. However with over 600 acres of native woodland and forestry on the estate there are plenty of opportunities to shoot a variety of wild game, including duck, woodcock, snipe and pheasant. These days are always great fun and the supper always tastes extra good at the end of sport in the fresh Scottish air.
Driven Pheasant Shooting: Within easy access of Burgie there are a number of quality shoots at which we can arrange a day (price on application)
Grouse Shooting: During Grouse season it may be possible for an organised driven or walked up day at one of the nearby moors to be arranged (price on application)
River Fishing: Being situated between two of the great Scottish salmon rivers (The Findhorn – 3 miles, and The Spey – 10 miles) Burgie is in an enviable position for fishing enthusiasts, and with enough notice it may be possible for us to arrange s days and/or evenings fishing on one or other of these outstanding rivers.
Loch Fishing: There are a number of lochs and lochans around Burgie at which trout fishing can be organised in advance.
